Repair/Service

Repair

We can repair all makes and models of air mattress system. We only use original manufacturer spare parts to ensure your air mattress is kept in the best possible condition.

We can collect your system from your home, either in one of our dedicated vans or through a carrier network, and bring them to our workshop where all systems are fully decontaminated before any work is carried out. This ensures there is no risk of cross infection while your air mattress system is in with us for repair or service.

Signs your mattress is starting to fail:

  • Excessive vibrations are a sign the compressor/bellow assembly will need replaced. If left, the internal pressure of the mattress will reduce and the patient risks bottoming out. This significantly increases the risk of the patient developing pressure ulcers.

  • A grinding noise from the pump is a sign the timing motor is starting to fail. If this fails the alternating function of the mattress will no longer work. This also significantly increases the risk of the patient developing pressure ulcers.

  • If you find youself having to increase the weight setting to maintain the support from the mattress when there is no change in the weight of the patient, this may indicate a leak within the mattress its self or a faulty compressor/bellow assembly.

  • Some mattress systems come with fault indicator lights, should any of these illuminate the pump has detected a fault and it should be taken out of use imediatly and sent for repair.

  • Any cracks or bubbling on the mattress top cover is a sign that the top cover needs replaced for infection control purposes.

  • Any damage to the pump casing or function buttons. The affected casing or panel label should be replaced to prevent fluid ingress and for infection control purposes.
